As per Beanz's "falling in the canal" post, I would like to make a public service announcement.
This is how you should walk along the canal bank.

Stay away from the edge, or you might fall in here.
You can't really get out unless you have a strong human to hand(which luckily we had).

Glad there was no falling in this time! That would be quite scary for us...There is a little canal near our home and as Nyxie loves the water, I'm tempted to let her play in it, but too scared she will plow over the waterfall at one end of it!
It scares the heck out of me thinking of one of our dogs going over the edge of that. So glad you escaped unharmed! :)
FPS: I do like a drop of water, but only up to my elbows. I'm not big on actually swimming. Is there a safer place for Nixie to swim?
LWD: Don't worry, it is not a deep as it looks. Us dogs are tough on the whole...
