We all had a surprise this morning. More snow!
Luckily, Chips was wearing her new coat, which TJam is very pleased with cos it doesn't fall off. I think Chips was pretty glad of it too.
Welcome to Bin-raiders of the lost (B)ark.
We are Beanz and Carlsberg, a dog and a cat living in The Tip with our humans. We tip a nod to our loyal contributor and friend Chips, who will live on in our memories for her spectacular adventures.
We are all superb rescue animals of Heinz variety, enjoying our 2nd chance to the full.
Beanz likes sunbathing and chasing rabbits, while Carlsberg prefers mushroom pate on toast.
Were dogs more long suffering in those days? I don't know. Old Hans certainly got his fair share of cuddles. His least favourite game was reinacting Belle and Sebastian, when he had to pretend to rescue TJam (Sebastian) from an avalanche. If it had been real life, TJam would have frozen to death. Hans was not big on role play.
In the 80s Remus made his entrance. It took him a while to grow into his ears and this pose did influence some of my own, later work. I call it "Sand on Nose."
One day, Jump and TJam were staying in London Town with TJam's mum, whom we shall give the Spy Name of "Brazil". Brazil was looking forward to her lunch: two pieces of mackerel on toast and a cup of tea.
Jump was nowhere to be seen.
Jump was still nowhere in sight. Not a crumb on the table or floor. The only explanation was that a whole piece of makerel on toast had magically and completely disappeared.
Then everyone set off to the pinetum. The dogs usually go pretty wild there. They must be communing with the spirit world. You can see Beanz heading off to frolic...
...before heading off in the blizzard, singing Christmas songs.
When they got home, Beanz went for a lie down in the garden...
... and I pounced on everything that moved. You will notice that photos of Chips are severely lacking by this point. She was in her warm bed...
