Late Christmas

Before I tell you about the late Christmas, let me tell you about this owl that we saw on our morning walk the other day. It was sitting on the rugby goal, crossbar thing and just watched us go by. TJam took three flash photographs (she did ask the owl's permission first) and the owl didn't blink an eye. It was amazing.

So back to Christmas. At the weekend, Pin and Huddersfield Town came to our house to have our late Christmas. TJam made mince pies with their initials on. If you don't know TJam personally or haven't seen the kitchen, you may not realise what an outrageous feat this is. And no one got food poisoning. Maybe it was the mulled wine that killed of all the bugs?

P and HT gave us a stuffed bone each so we were busy all evening.

After dinner, we went outside and the humans tried to welcome in the new year with a Chinese lantern. Unfortunately it was a bit windy. HT chased the lantern through the brambles next to the houses, trying to avoid a bush fire or the burning down of people's homes. Then the flaming part of it fell out of the lantern as modelled below.

The humans had a good giggle about it and nobody burned to death.

Good Dogs

Pin and Huddersfield Town came on a walk with us to the top of one of our favourite hills.
Beanz and I were on our best behaviour and there are no comedy stories to tell. TJam says thank goodness but I can tell you are disappointed so I will store up my brownie points for some sculldugary and shinanigans when the humans least expect it...

Dosed Up on Dosa

That's what the humans are. This evening TJam deserted the animals and went for a human extravaganza at Pin and Huddersfield Town's House. The lovely Wry Sprite was there too. They had dosa made by the lady from the Farmers' Market, sitting around a beautifully laid (lain?) table with sparkling wit and repartee flowing. TJam didn't actually want to come home, but she had to or we would have eaten the place.

You can see from those smily faces that us dogs missed out on a real treat.

Back to Work

This morning was more of the same, but no less beautiful...

Pin came to the rescue today. TJam's car doors were frozen shut so Pin gave TJam a lift to work. At least there was a space on the carpark today, although no one stuck to the designated spaces.

TJam reporting for duty.
"Ready for some INTENSE work boss!"
