Welcome to Bin-raiders of the lost (B)ark.
We are Beanz and Carlsberg, a dog and a cat living in The Tip with our humans. We tip a nod to our loyal contributor and friend Chips, who will live on in our memories for her spectacular adventures.
We are all superb rescue animals of Heinz variety, enjoying our 2nd chance to the full.
Beanz likes sunbathing and chasing rabbits, while Carlsberg prefers mushroom pate on toast.

Home Alone 2
I am much prouder of my achievement in this film. More ingenuity and dare devilling. I did not use a stunt double. It made my carrot all the more delicious.
Yum yum

Sticks
I know stick games are not to be encouraged because of risk of injury. True, TJam does not throw them for us, since her old dog once ran onto a stick that had landed like a javelin (say no more).
However, sometimes life just puts a stick there as a gift for you and it would be rude not to accept it, wrestle over it and run along trying to pull it off each other before claiming the stick and reasserting my position of top dog over Beanz.
Ah, happy days.
Hurry up and get your leg better Beanz.

Fly Screen
So TJam decided that we needed a screen of some description. They don't make those cool screen doors like they have in the States here, so we had to go with one from the Betterware catalogue. It was only a tenner, so it's not all bad.
However. TJam did not consult with me before installation. As you know, cats do not do change. Here is my first attempt at crossing the screen:
I did a little better on my second attempt.
I'll keep practising...

Valerian Teabags
Today, Bamgee brought me a present. When she said, "Valerian Teabag wrapper" you could forgive me for not being all that excited.
Until I smelt it, that is.
Then I was very excited.
Now I am sleeping off my trip in a hazy eyed stupour.
cool man.
Peace out
Carls

Reasons (Not Excuses)
Reason 1: Why we have not been blogging.
Firstly a big sorry to people who came to read the bin-raiders and we weren't here. It is my fault and the animals are ashamed of me. The reason is a few things were going on (including a holiday that we thought it best not to announce here on account of any burglars that might be passing though). Plus we did not realise anyone might worry about us. Sorry.
Reason 2: Why we decided not to camp last week, but hired a cottage instead.

Clocks and Roaching
Yesterday, TJam got a special lamp. It is supposed to help her wake up slowly and naturally so she is not such an old grump in the mornings. We'll see.
So last night, she set it all up to simulate the sunrise and a dawn chorus of chirpy little birdies.
All night long, every half hour, on the half hour, she excitedly woke up, looked at her clock/lamp and asked herself, "Is it time to wake up yet?"
and every half hour, on the hour, it wasn't time to wake up yet.
And then there was a power cut.
so by the time it was time to wake up yet, she was exhausted and non the wiser, as the clock/lamp had gone off, with there being no power and all.
This evening, I have been roaching. To avoid offence, I want you to imagine that I am roaching for pure joy, and not because I have found a half crispy fox poo on the floor. Ignore what TJam says. I am not a dirt bag.

"What is it?" Wednesday
If you are TJam's mum, aunt or technophobic friend, you might not know what this is about. Chips, Carlsberg and I are new to "the blogging community" but from what we see, loads of people read each others' blogs and make friends. Sometimes they do the modern equivalent of parlour games: they set each other challenges or projects which are fun and building of the community spirit.
Now that we have forayed into this new dimension, TJam hopes it is not too early for us to set a project.* Traditionally it seems to be linked to a day of the week. We were going for film friday but it is only Wednesday and we couldn't wait that long. Besides which, this Friday is special to us for another reason and there won't be room to fit a film in as well (brace yourself). Alternatively, we might just not link it to any day at all.
The challenge is this:
Recreate a film or tv programme of your choice in a film or photo and other people have to guess what it is.
This is our first attempt, inspired by my backside and the railway line**
If you were not around in the late 70s, early 80s, you might not get it. If you were, sing along and do the chorus accapelo.
* If it is too early and we have created a blogging faux pas, I'm sure the blogging police will put us right. We respond best to positive reinforcement officer.
** NB this is a model railway line and the trains do not run at this time of year. No dog was harmed or endangered during the making of this video.
PS Join in! We are not going to tag anyone, join in when you feel the urge.

Candid Camera
- by Carlsberg
Someone sent us this. At first, TJam thought someone had secretly filmed her bedroom and then recreated the scene, using a man as the supporting character to protect her identity.
And there was me thinking that she didn't know about the baseball bat...

Proud of Ourselves
Well, kind of. Below is our first example of video on our blog. It was supposed to show Beanz chasing squirrels.
Ok, so all you actually see is her running off.
There was some great footage of her trying to climb a tree. Unfortunately, I didn't press "start" til I thought I was pressing,"stop" so all I actually filmed was the side of my leg.
So, anyway, here is a beautiful view we saw this weekend. Does it get any better than this?
