I am just a normal dog laying out in the pouring rain.

Other Guy

I have been in a bit of a scrap. You should see the other guy.

Whatever made TJam think I have been digging in the garden?

What is it Wednesday

Remember that game when we re-enact a film and you guess what it is? Can you guess this Sherlock Holmes tribute?

Wednesday 10 September 2014

TJam was impressed with how close I came to catching the frog tonight. She could hear it squeaking from the house. By the time she came out and to help me, the frog had hopped away.

Next time I will succeed and I feel sure TJam would love me to bring it into the house for her to take a closer look or even hold it.

Now I am settling down with a good book. Maybe Bob has some tips on frog-catching.

We saw a very beautiful sunset.

In other news my poorly mouth has responded to antibiotics so I don't have to have an xray on Friday, just another check up next week. Fingers crossed I am still fine by then and I get signed off. I am sure yesterday's fertiliser helped restore me to full health.

This is my best Dont-tell-me-off face that I had occasion to use after I had galloped across two fields to eat fertiliser.

I think it worked.

Spot the Cat

I am getting quite a taste for this stepping put on window cils thing.

Keeping People On Their Toes

Today I did a bit of tree climbing and then I stepped out of the upstairs window onto the window cil.
Don't want TJam to get too complacent.

Carlsberg has not left me alone since Womble left.

She keeps coming up to kiss me.

It hasn't all been sitting around though.
I have been on a couple of fairly decent walks since I got antibiotics for a horrible mouth abscess that TJam didn't know about until she could smell it.
I am feeling a lot better now and hoping I don't have to have an X-ray next week.

In the mean time, I have been to the woods...

... and to a lovely pond.

By the way, I am now officially 13 years old.

My Friend Nero

Today we had to say a final farewell to our friend Nero.

When we were young, shiny coated, all black dogs, we used to run around and play.
Well I used to play with Nero, and Chips just ignored us.

Nero always put Chips and me to shame with his good behaviour and never running off.
But every now and again, his cheeky side would pop out.

He was very handsome.
Truth be told, I had a bit of a thing for Nero, but he wanted to be just good friends.

Us three used to go to the cafe every week.
Nero was our calming influence when we used to bark all the time.

We walked together come rain...

...or shine.

Nero was our friendly, gentle friend. He didn't even bear a grudge when Chips bit his ear.
We loved walking together and rolling in muck and searching for treats.
We loved finding new paths and getting lost and finding ourselves again.
We loved setting out, and Nero loved heading back to the car when he thought it was time to go home!
He was the perfect combination of sensible, loyal and fun and he did a mean photobomb.

Farewell lovely Nero.
Thank you for the good times.
