Decoy

Today TJam actually got the tv guide out for me to sit on. When I was comfy she pulled out ANOTHER guide. It turns out she is using a decoy and I fell for it.

It would serve her right if she accidentally planned her viewing around the wrong one.

Sunday Mornings

I am not so keen on Sunday mornings. Five more minutes please!

Not Falling...

Why does TJam seem to think I am going to fall out of bed tonight?

Camouflage

If I sneak up after dark and hide in these jeans, no one should find me til morning. Mission accomplished.

Duty

I consider it my duty to ensure that TJam never reads a whole book.

When the weather is good we take the opportunity for formation sunbathing.

Hash

We have been on our first hash. Don't worry, it is nothing overly dodgy. A hare laid a trail of flour and we had to follow it and then watch the humans sing silly songs and dance a bit.

Here I am checking we hadn't lost anyone.

Beast?

We drove across Bodmin Moor today. In the fog. Didn't expect to see this. Is it the Beast? There was no hurrying it though.

TJam has dropped and lost a nut from her tax disc holder. We have all been helping her look for it. Chips is the first to give up on the search.

Benign

I am back to my happy outdoor self and have had the all clear from the vet. The lump was benign and I can resume normal duties.

Better

Nothing like stealing and shredding a letter to help you recover from surgery. That is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Actually I'm fine but don't tell TJam.

Staring

I will be spending the evening staring while I recover from my operation today. I am also ready to start my new renal diet. I'm pretty much happy to eat anything as you know.

I will also breathe shallowly every once in a while to freak TJam out.

Helping

Hmmm. TJam seems to be looking under the bath. I'd better help her by diving into the work space immediately.

Certain

At the ripe old age of nearly 13 I know when I don't want to go for a walk in the cold rain. TJam and Beanz can leave me here. I will keep the bed warm for Beanz on her return.

Thrill

Looks like our walks just got a whole lot more exciting.

I started the day with some time on TJam's chest...

... followed by some time on the spare bed...

... and then a little sunbathe in the afternoon.

All in all it's been a busy day.

Reminder

Today is gold citizen reminder day, because there is a barking dog in those bushes behind me and I am walking past. Plus that is the 2nd dog/people in bushes combo we have ignored this evening.

I hope that means extra treats for us tonight...

Any ideas why people/dogs might be lurking in bushes particularly today? Is it a special occasion we don't know about?

Now it takes me 12 minutes to eat my breakfast and dinner. 

My favourite times of day now last six times longer. Does life get any better?

Spring

We had a surprisingly fun but cold walk this morning. TJam needs to pay better attention to the weather forecast.

We were one-side-black-one-side-white dogs.

No wonder Carlsberg used her litter box in the night. It is certainly not cat weather.

Crufts

Last weekend TJam deserted the best dogs in the world to in and look at the rest of. The dogs in the world. At Crufts.

 

She found the friendliest dog in the show who is apparently worse off the lead than us. TJam needs to remember that and keep perspective.

TJam found the television studio, but there were no stars hanging around.

You will have to imagine Clare Balding sitting there.

 

We told TJam she could look but not buy. Unless it was one me the creatures below. She stuck to her side of the bargain.

Fact

If a cat sees a box, they will have to get into it. It's a compulsion. Fact.

Caught in the Act

I KNEW those two were up to something.

Animal Priorities

Helping TJam get to a 9am meeting is not one of Carlsberg's priorities.

Waiting

TJam please stop sorting out your DVD collection and feed up breakfast. Chips is nearly STARVING.
Don't think we haven't noticed that you don't know how to spell "philosopher" either.

Peace

It has taken a long time to get this kind of peace and quiet in our house.
