Not Keen

I'm not overly keen on the head gear but I am feeling a bit brighter today after the vet wrestled a tooth from my mouth in an, "I haven't done an  extraction like THAT in a very long time..." operation yesterday.

I am not sure which end to focus more on at the moment since my rear end has been given a number 0 all over to frame my stitches.s

I am in good spirits though, especially as I have to have soft food and everyone is being extra nice to me.

Moonlighting

When TJam came to pick me up from the vet, she found me doing a bit of work behind reception.

I may drop in my CV next time I'm passing and ask if there are any extra hours going.

I have had the lump on my end tail removed and also a tricky tooth. Helen, Naomi and Elaine did an excellent job.

On Guard

I have been guarding this spot since I saw a cat on the fence four hours ago.

Carlsberg is my second in command.

Expedition

I had a little explore in our new garden. I slipped out and into next door but had to do a lot of hissing at something before running home. TJam is going to get the fence fixed before I go out again. It'll be a battle of wits though. Now I've been out I don't want to stay in. Especially in this sunshine. I'll bide my time.

Plan

We're going to give this a go - off to the park!

Displaced

I was surprised to see Carlsberg on the table so I checked she was ok. It turns out she is temporarily displaced until we get a new sofa. Wonder if I'll be allowed on it...

Achievement

Friend

I found this in our garden this morning. I gave it a kiss but it didn't turn into a handsome prince. In fact it didn't even move.

Fine

Sorry to worry anyone. I am fine! I was just so bored with my short walks that I couldn't be bothered.

Now we are back at the park i feel great. In fact TJam couldn't keep up with me to get a photo.

Inspiration

This is the cup TJam was drinking out of when she decided what to call me.

What an imagination she has.

Little Help

I haven't really felt like going on much of a walk recently. The vet thought it might be my kidneys making me feel rough so I've only really been walking near the house.

TJam thought a little trip to the park might motivate me and we went in the van. Don't tell Greenpeace.

It totally did the trick. I had a lovely little jaunt. 

When I got back I was too tired to jump up on my bed.

I was prepared to sleep on the floor but TJam put the step up for me so I could rest in luxury.

Master Plan

I am helping with the master plan for a big project...

Murmur

Yesterday the vet told me I have developed a heart murmur. It is probably murmuring in awe and appreciation of how fabulous I am.

I had a little dip and run and released my inner puppy.

Yoga

Today I will be helping TJam do yoga.

Solved

Mystery solved and I don't weigh a plastic bowl heavier then this morning.

Vortex

I ate my breakfast as usual.

TJam came to pick up my bowl to refill for tea.

Empty space! Did I accidentally eat it this morning? It's a mystery and I had to eat out of a plastic container. I had better not eat that aswell.

Cold and Frosty

Here we go round the mullberry bush on a cold and Frosty morning. Well, we would if there were any mullberry bushes in sight.

Chips has stayed home. She didn't feel like walking this morning so she is guarding the house.

Resistance is Futile

Just because I have had a poorly tummy for two days, the vet has betrayed me and said I must be starved for 24 hours.

24 hours! I'm dying! Getting... w e a k e r... Must have food.....

Oh come on TJam, give me food! How long can you resist my most pathetic of expressions.

Good Day

Well, after all these health and weather events it was great to do a full walk under blue skies.

Now we have a whole day of laying around to recover...

Wow, TJam is really serious about this dog walking business. At 700 miles a year she looks on it as an investment. What about my poor paws?

Better

Oh my goodness! I can't tell you how much better I feel!

It turned out I'd had a nasty abscess growing under my tail for a week but once it popped (I'll spare you the photos) it just took a few antibiotics to get me right as ninepence.

I'm glad to be alive, although Chips does not appreciate shoulder barges to celebrate.

New Year Adventures

Happy New Year to everyone.

I have had a rubbish new Year. It started with me feeling very poorly out of hours. I like to pick the most expensive time of day.

I went to the emergency clinic but their medicine didn't quite do the trick and I ended up spending New Year's Eve in one of their luxury kennels for poorly dogs on drips.

When I came home I didn't even want my tea, so Carlsberg stepped up to the plate to help me out.

Today I feel much more chirpy and am enjoying my 5 small meals a day. Next dinner at 8pm. TJam says I've not to get too used to it.

Nurse Chips is doing a great job at sitting on me.

Hope everyone else's New Year has been cheerier and that you haven't had thermometers anywhere about your person.

Mistake

There must be some mistake. Santa has delivered this present to the wrong house!

Hectic Day

Just snatching 5 minutes to share the love with Boy Wonder.

Merry Christmas

Well, merry Christmas to everyone. We were lucky to receive this lovely card sent to us by nephew Bob and niece Cat.

I am celebrating the day by drinking out of the flower pot. I might bark at Brazil and Boy Wonder's chicken later... 

Multitasking

Today I sat on TJam's Christmas card bag while I watched TV. I like to play my part in the preparations.

Moved

Cruelly Alert!
I was asleep and not doing any harm to anyone when TJam came and took my comfy bed away so she could wear it.
I made sure I left plenty of my white bits on it so TJam doesn't forget me while she is out.

Festivities

I have been helping. This is my favourite time of year. Boxes in boxes and tinsel. Ho ho ho!

Santa's Little Helper

I have been helping TJam wrap. She LOVES it when I help. It makes everything go MUCH faster.

Heaven

A bag IN a box? My life is complete.

Hosting

When we have visitors I like to test out their bedding and if that means they can't get into their own bed them so be it. Duty comes first.

You will have to get ME a new bed if you don't want me to sleep on YOUR new bed for another 4 whole days without moving.

Not Impressed

I am not overly impressed with the alternative to the cone of shame, although at least I can lick my knees and tail. My arthritis has been playing up and I've licked where it hurts.

I'm sure I've made my feelings on the subject perfectly clear.

From time to time we have to do impromptu inspections of TJam's dishwasher-putting-away skills.

Today was a pass.

Age

13 years or 13 weeks? TJam is beginning to wonder. I love deliveries!

Puppy Sleep

Sometimes on a Sunday I have a proper, tongue-out puppy sleep. Even at my age. I'm twelve now, by the way. That sneaked up on us all.

Quality Control

TJam is ahead of herself this year and I am checking the first Christmas present for Brazil. She had better not get too excited though, as the box is definitely bigger than the sum of its parts.

Cunning Scheme

This is the cunning scheme that allowed me to sleep upstairs all night. I think I've found the perfect plan. Apart from getting stuck in the arm hole at 6.30am.

While we were camping, I was totally caught napping. I couldn't believe it when TJam showed me this photo when we got home from our trip. How could I have missed that?!
